One last complaint is there’s no midi mapping or re-mapping supported for other controllers, of course neither Cross DJ or Djay2 (or Djay Pro for that matter) support this so that I guess that point is moot though it would be nice if this were supported in the future as I would really like to use my Pioneer DDJ-WeGo4 with this appĪll in all its a solid app but it would be better if these issues were fixed. This makes it super annoying if you the type that likes to analyze all the songs at once when updating your library instead of album per album or analyzing on the fly (which occasionally causes the audio to get choppy). I’d give this app more stars but its does have some issues like it was doing weird things and crashing constantly on my iPad Air 2 and on my iPad mini 4 everything works but the “songs” tab in the library is super fragile, upload one album into the iPad that cross DJ doesn’t like or drag and drop a folder from the desktop directly to the iPad without syncing it to iTunes first and it crashes the “songs” tab in the library coming up with the error message “No songs available in iTunes”.Īll the other tabs like “albums” and “playlists” still work but the “songs” tab is done after that. It’s a good no frills DJ app that has solid SoundCloud integration and I had no problem switching over from Virtual DJ on a laptop as the learning curve isn't that steep. Solid Dj app with good features but has issues. Hope this helps for people reading this and for the developer. But above all, the price for the Pro is decent and I will continue to use this app until I can’t anymore.
CROSS DJ 2.5 UPDATE
I know this app is old but it’s not impossible to crank out one more update to fix what could be a tiny problem and make a lot of other people happy. Now with the first flaw, if that got fixed, this app would be 5 stars for me. Though this is understandable, I just miss only having to open the app and get right into the song. After that, I have to quit the app and re-search my song I was playing. Even after you reload another song it gets stuck. One flaw is when I get a phone call, or siri comes up, the song just decided to stop working. These flaws in my opinion are only annoying and not a deal breaker for me personally. I’ve used my SoundCloud for this app and I’ve never gone to another app even though it has flaws that I’m about to list.
